• I couldn't resist borrowing the title from Joni Mitchell.  This is shot I took from a seated position and captured the interesting relationship between the cab and the lighted billboard.

  • This is a ruin of an old schoolhouse in Terlingua, TX.  It was lit up with candles as a 20 second exposure captures stars and the milky way at the same time.  You need a light sensitive camera to get this effect.

  • 12 x 16 watercolor+ acrylic.  I shot the reference photo sprawled on a rainy sidewalk in Times Square, NYC.  I intially painted it as a watercolor but then added some acrylic layers to punch up the contrast.

  • This is a composit image wherein I combined a shot of the Alamo taken in moonlight with a shot of stars and the milky way taken in another part of Texas.  The composition suggests how the night sky would have looked before the development of electric lights and the City of San Antonio but also hints at the ascension of the Alamo's heroes following the battle with Santa Ana's army.

  • The time exposure captures the Milky Way from inside of Terlingua's Baptist Church. Just a tiny amount of light exposes the inside of the window and I've named this shot after the stained glass representation of a dove. Focus stacking kept everything sharp.
